The idea that there are distinct ‘communities’ on the internet is popular. In this video, We discuss the implications of social media and computer mediated communication on the way we communicate. It can be applied to why some people listen to Internet Trolls as they were credible and respectable, instead of malicious and cowards.
Specifically, we talk about attributions, what they are, and how the way we make attributions on the internet differs greatly from how we make them in face to face communications. It is important for all professionals including fitness professionals, who conduct business on or communicate through the internet, to understand implications of social information processing as it occurs through computer communication.
